Stuart Kenworthy (the writer of Scallywagga’) told the Lancashire Evening Post: “With these things often there are problems with filming and some scenes have bits missing and good bits get taken out but this has gone really well.
“It is a sort of mixture between some of the slapstick old favourites with punch lines, and character comedy. I enjoy a lot of modern comedy but they often have a funny idea without any actual jokes.”
I just saw the trailer on BBC Three this evening.
Looked good, I like the mobile phone features battle!

According to Stuart Kenworthy’s (Writer) website;
It looks as though Scallywagga’s going out on BBC3 on Monday nights from the end of April. And I think it’ll be repeated again on Sunday evenings.
He seems pretty pleased, so I think we’re in for a treat!

The BBC Three new look that we have all been expecting was announced today.
Scallywagga’ is a flagship show for the relaunch.
Welcome to Scallywagga – a spanking-new sketch show straight out of the north of England. It’s fast paced and innovatively immature enough to appeal to the subversive adolescent in everyone.
Its cast of characters include Asbo PIN, who has an uncanny knack of predicting people’s PIN numbers; pastry-obsessed Gregs Girl; and Adrian, whose parents resort to increasingly bizarre measures to disown him. Plus, there’s always a party on the go and plenty of trips to Scallywagga High.
The series features rising young comedy stars Carl Rice, Jessica Hall, Luke Gell, Joanna Higson, Stefan Gumbs, Lena Kaur, Scott Taylor and Curtis Cole. They are aided and abetted by the slightly more grown-up Sally Lindsay (Coronation Street), Steve Edge (The Visit) and Neil Fitzmaurice (Phoenix Nights).

The show that was called Spacehopper in the pilot has now been called Scallywagga’ (very close to the original name Scallywagger) because of trademark issues, according to Stuart Kenworthy the creator.
He doesn’t like the ‘ in Scallywagga’ and hopes it falls off.
